With international participation and high visitor interest, glasspex INDIA (8th edition) and glasspro INDIA (5th edition) came to a close in Mumbai on 12 September 2025. With 180 exhibitors from 19 countries and more than 8,200 trade visitors, the two events underlined their role as the central industry platform in India. Across 9,230 square metres, exhibitors presented their latest technologies and innovations for glass production and glass processing.
The AIGMF International Conference served as a technical highlight during the two trade fairs. Under the motto “AI and Digitalisation—The Future for Sustainable Glassmaking”, more than 130 delegates discussed the prospects for digitalised and sustainable glass production. At the 6th Glass Bulletin Awards, companies and individuals were also honoured for their contributions to the development of the industry.
International participation was strong: In addition to India, exhibitors and visitors from key markets, such as Germany, Italy, the US, China and Japan, were also represented. Germany and Italy also presented themselves with country pavilions. The VDMA Glass Technology Forum was also on site and took the opportunity to exchange ideas with the Indian glass industry.
“The success in Mumbai clearly shows how dynamically the glass industry is developing. For the industry, the trade fairs in India offer the opportunity to open up new business areas and expand networks in one of the world’s most important growth markets,” explains Daniel Feische, Director of glasstec.
Organised by Messe Düsseldorf India (glasspro INDIA together with Glass Bulletin), glasspex INDIA and glasspro INDIA are part of Messe Düsseldorf's international trade fair portfolio for glass technologies.
