Saleem Raza, Emirates Float Glass, about the meaning of the trade fair. Emirates Float Glass (EFG) LLC is a world class, multi-award winning float glass facility based in Abu Dhabi UAE and takes place at the fair since the company was founded.

With over 1.250 exhibitors from 50 countries, glasstec is the leading international trade fair for the glass industry. The event offers a unique spectrum of innovations and solutions in the fields of glass production, processing and products.
How can the energy-intensive glass industry, which is highly dependent on natural gas, become CO2-neutral by 2045? Decarbonisation is one of the three Hot Topics.
Ingo Stahlkopf, Optris GmbH, about their key products and services. He showcases their innovations. Optris has been developing and producing innovative infrared measuring devices for non-contact temperature measurement for more than 20 years.
Thomas Lenze, LiSEC Austria, presents a fully autmatic laminated glass cutting system with high output and also a new software solutions at glasstec 2024. LiSEC is a well known exhibitor at the fair.
The motto of glasstec is “we are glass” and invites people from all over the world to find out about the trends and challenges facing the industry here in Düsseldorf.
We talk to Álvaro Tomás, Tumoras. For more than 30 years the spanish company is active in the glass machinery industry. One of their exhibiton highlights is a Monolithic Glass Cutting Machinery.
The session “glass melting pot – bringing together research and industry” provides a platform for researchers and industry partners. We spoke to organiser Prof. Dr.-Ing. Michael Engelmann of the Institute of Building Construction at the Technical University of Dresden to find out.
